This California Privacy Notice applies only to California residents and provides the additional disclosures and privacy rights required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
This Notice supplements the Charter-Care Privacy Policy. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how Charter-Care collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains Personal Information. If there is a conflict between this Notice and the Privacy Policy regarding California residents, this Notice controls to the extent required by applicable law.
California-Specific Disclosures
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
California law defines the terms "sale" and "sharing" broadly. Certain disclosures of Personal Information may qualify as a sale or sharing under California law even when no money is exchanged.
Charter-Care does not sell Personal Information for monetary compensation.
As part of operating our consent-driven marketing platform, we may disclose Personal Information to licensed insurance agents, insurance agencies, insurance carriers, other organizations authorized to respond to your request, and certain service providers and technology partners. Where California law provides the right to opt out of activities that constitute a sale or sharing, Charter-Care will honor applicable opt-out requests.
Sensitive Personal Information
Charter-Care may collect limited Sensitive Personal Information, such as your date of birth or Medicare eligibility information, when you voluntarily provide it.
We use Sensitive Personal Information only for purposes permitted by California law and do not use or disclose it in a manner that requires offering an additional right to limit its use.
Global Privacy Control
Where required by California law, Charter-Care recognizes valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as requests to opt out of activities covered by applicable California opt-out rights.

Before fulfilling certain requests, we may verify your identity to protect your Personal Information. California residents may also authorize another person to submit requests on their behalf, subject to verification and proof of authority as permitted by law.
Once your request has been routed to a licensed insurance agent, insurance agency, insurance carrier, or another authorized organization, that organization's privacy practices govern the Personal Information it maintains. Requests relating to information maintained by those organizations should be directed to the applicable organization.
